The Beauty in Truth

I feel like I should write something about the heart-breaking events that occurred in Connecticut. I wasn’t planning to at first because I didn’t think I had anything to add that hadn’t already been said or that would do any good. Then I realized that I have my testimony and that the beauty found within the truth of the gospel can heal the wounds from this awful tragedy.
So, a couple brief thoughts:
First, I know without a doubt in my mind that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and love us more than we can comprehend. They do not cause events such as the shooting, but can and do use them to bring people closer to Them and Their peace.
In the Latter-Day Saint faith we believe that the age of accountability is eight. This means any child who dies before that age automatically goes to heaven. This truth has been enormously comforting during this time. All twenty of those little ones will spend eternity with God in paradise.
